Day 1. Tivat
Arrival. Porto Montenegro.
As we touch down at Tivat airport, we spot our driver holding a sign for Khorstan Sailing and head towards one of the most fashionable marinas in the Mediterranean – Porto Montenegro. We settle into our boat, where the captain provides a primary briefing for the crew, and then stroll around the marina and town center, enjoying the first day of our much-awaited vacation. We highly recommend visiting the maritime museum and taking a tour of a real submarine located right in the marina. Here, we settle into our yacht
Day 2. Kotor
Today, we set sail for one of the most thrilling journeys of our trip to the legendary city of Kotor, with a centuries-old history. Along the way, we'll catch the wind through the famous Verige strait, admire the picturesque town of Perast (which looks even more stunning from the boat than from the shore), and take a swim near an ancient church. In the evening, we dock at the marina of Kotor, located right at the walls of the old city. This city is impressive from the first glance! The fortress wall, clinging to steep rocks that loom over the city, conceals a web of narrow medieval streets and small squares, where dozens of cozy restaurants serve unique local cuisine. We will have dinner at one of these restaurants tonight
Day 3. Herceg Novi
After breakfast, we head to the charming town of Herceg Novi and stop by the famous mini-island called "Madonna on the Reef" along the way. We'll share the unusual story of this local shrine on board, and in the meantime, we'll share some photos of this place from our past trips
Day 4. Lustica Bay
We set all sails to the picturesque Trašte Bay, where we will spend the night at the brand new marina of Lustica Bay. The Almara Beach Club, with one of the best beaches in Montenegro, is located nearby. On the way to the bay, we will definitely stop by the Blue Cave, swim there, and enjoy the incredible color of the water
Day 5. Budva
We exchange the tranquil Almara for the bustling and crowded Budva, where the beautiful old town coexists with numerous nightclubs, restaurants, and casinos. We could talk a lot about the atmosphere of this city, but it's better to hop on a convertible and experience it for ourselves. On the way to the city, we'll stop for lunch in a nearby cove and, passing around the island of St. Nicholas, which seems to shield the city from the open sea like a knight, we'll enter the Budva marina
Day 6. Ribatsko Selo
On the next day of our adventure, we set off for a tranquil village called Ribatsko Selo, where we can taste the freshest seafood and swim in the crystal-clear waters of the bay. In the evening, we'll enjoy the sunset against the backdrop of an ancient fortress. And if we crave more civilization, we can always head back to nearby Herceg Novi
Day 7. Tivat
And here we are... the last day of our journey together. Today, we'll travel to Tivat, to the marina of Porto Montenegro, where we'll spend our farewell evening. But before that, we still have a lot to see and do! As a final treat, we've saved some abandoned mines for submarines and a ghost island for you. Intrigued? Trust us, it looks even more fascinating than it sounds!
Day 8. Tivat
After breakfast, we bid farewell to our yacht and head to Tivat airport. If you have some time before your flight and haven't had a chance to explore the sights of Porto Montenegro, we highly recommend doing so. Alternatively, you can simply relax by the pool at the Yacht Club
